White Diamonds come in a variety of colours.
They have a colour range of D (the purest; colourless) through to Z (basically a brown yellow; not really desirable).
The typical diamond found in most jewellery is in the colour range of H-J.
This colour range is called 'Near colourless' because it is near colourless.

With white diamonds colour is not the only thing that is important. The clarity of a diamond is important too!
Diamond clarity ranges from Flawless through to Included.

When selecting a diamond the SI quality is a good choice, because it is cheaper.
However, if you really want a high quality stone VS and higher is the way to go. The less included, the more the light can shine through.
When deciding on the type of diamond to purchase the carat weight and shape are a factor. Please see the below charts to help you in your decision.
